The following directions
will take you across the Walt Whitman bridge from the Philadelphia area. If you
want to take another bridge from your location, be sure to find a way to reach
1.
Walt Whitman Bridge to 42
Freeway
2. Follow
42 SOUTH. Exit at ROUTE 55.
3.
Follow ROUTE 55 to end. [approximately 40 miles]
4. Merge with ROUTE 47 South.
[Traffic light at bottom of ramp.]
5. Follow 47 to
next traffic light. Right turn onto Mauricetown
causeway. [Super Wawa at this light.]
6. Follow to second
flashing yellow light. Right turn onto ROUTE 676. [Highland Ave]
7. Follow 676 approximately 5
miles until end at ROUTE 553 in Dividing Creek. [Church on right]
8. RIGHT onto
ROUTE 553.
9. Follow 553 for 5 miles to Newport, New Jersey.
10. Make soft left turn
on ROUTE 732. [This turn is easy to miss. Look for white building with
"Newport Service Center" sign at top of building.]
11. Go 2 miles to
flashing yellow light. Left turn onto ROUTE 637,Fortescue Road. [Turn is
easy to miss. Look for large wooden sign "Welcome to Newport"]
12. Go 2 miles. Take
left fork at 'Y' intersection.
13. Follow for
approximately 4 miles to the town of Fortescue. [Concrete bridge entering
Fortescue.]
14. Turn right at third
street from bridge, Laura Avenue.

Fortescue Sunrise is first house on left. 7 Laura Avenue. [There is a large
front yard. The front deck overlooks the meadow.]
